If you haven't heard "The Social Music Hour Vol. 1", you can listen here or watch the band perform it live on YouTube
“These immensely talented, well-schooled musicians deserve to be heard far and wide – they restoreth thy soul.” - Robert Myers - Elmore Magazine
At November's North East Regional Folk Alliance Conference, the band puts it all into action hosting and performing in "The Backstage Sessions @ NERFA", a collaborative workshop format developed by the band at The Philadelphia Folk Festival and in a series of Parkinson's Disease Research Benefit shows featuring the music of Linda Ronstadt. The "Sessions" will feature 'new finds' on Saturday afternoon and more established artists on Saturday night/Sunday morning. Each artist involved will join the performers playing before and after their set in seamless, well crafted and sure-to-be magical collaborations.
On Friday night, the band will showcase more conventionally for The Philadelphia Folksong Society and others.
“This is as close to a musical "Come to Jesus" moment as you'll get outside the gospel roots of the deep south. Yonkers, NY based Spuyten Duyvil are the real deal when it comes to roots revivalist Americana music. Historians, outstanding songwriters, accomplished musicians and a musical family atmosphere converge to make some of the most outstanding music around today.” - William Hurley - The Alternate Root TV
For 2017, the band is digging deeper into the Americana treasure chest developing a new collection of beautiful old tunes, freshly re-imagined and revamped "for today's discerning listener".
